Superbowl Open House

For more years than we can remember, we've hosted our annual Super Bowl Open House. Drop in with a sampling of your favorite Super Bowl fare - a tasty morsel you're willing to share.

If watching the game is not your thing, you won't be alone. You'll have lots of company among those who come just for the party. Either way we'd love to see you.

Please RSVP by email JonCohen@Windermere.com or text/telephone 503-720-9393.

Neighborhood Dumpster

4106 SW 44th Ave in Bridlemile

In the Spring of 2020, we had all been cooped up in our homes at the start of the Covid pandemic with nothing better to do than purge through our spaces and clear out unwanted items.  Talking with neighbors, I realized that we all had lots of stuff ready to go somewhere else - donated to groups that could use the items, recycled with various organizations, or simply taken to the dump.  So, instead of ordering our own small dumpster to get rid of our things, I ordered a LARGE dumpster, placed it in front of my house and invited the neighbors to bring their unwanted items (that were not good enough to donate) and add them to our dumpster.  Fortunate to have a lovely Spring in 2020, lots of neighbors came by while we were working in the yard and I met or reconnected with many of you.  And many of you had a chance to meet other neighbors.

This new "tradition" continued for the last three years, and it's back again this year.  Feel free to bring your unwanted items destined for the landfill. Please visit the pages explaining what cannot be included, and also listing places that accept donations of gently used items that might be useful to others.

Halloween Fun

"It's the Apple Cider House!"

That's what we hear every Halloween from the kids coming down our driveway.

For almost 20 years, we've been serving up apple cider, hot-spiced cider, and for the adults, some hot-spiced wine.  Stop by with the young ones in your family, or come on your own.  Enjoy a little Halloween cheer with us.

HELP US HELP THE CHELSEA HICKS FOUNDATION & CHELSEA’S CLOSET

This year the Bridlemile Halloween traditions continue with a little twist.  Throughout the year, many seriously ill children are spending many days or weeks in area hospitals undergoing life-saving treatment.  The Chelsea Hicks Foundation organizes a rolling dress-up party for these children, helping to bring smiles to their faces and joy to their hearts, and helping them forget, just for a moment, their daily struggles.  Here’s how you can help:

· Purchase new costumes

· Purchase new accessories

· Bring them to The Apple Cider House in Bridlemile on Halloween. (If you can't make it on Halloween, drop them at my Windermere office - 6443 SW Beaverton-Hillsdale Hwy. #100)

· Have fun trick-or-treating!
