The new Portland residential speed limit is in effect as of April 1st. According to the Portland Bureau of Transportation, the 20 mph residential speed limit applies to “streets that do not have center line markings.” The “20 Is Plenty” campaign is part of the City’s Vision Zero initiative to eliminate traffic deaths and serious injuries.
